An emblematic plot of the Lycée viticole de Beaune, the two hectares of Montée Rouge are the property of the Hospices Civils de Beaune. This steep plot with red clay soil is oriented due East and gives very rich and concentrated wines.

The vinification is done in thermoregulated stainless steel tanks with semi-automatic punching down. Cold pre-fermentation maceration and alcoholic fermentation are carried out for a period of 15 days, followed by a hot post-fermentation maceration lasting approximately ten days. The wine is then aged for 9 months in oak barrels in our cellars.

The Beaune 1er Cru "Montée Rouge" from the Lycée Viticole is characterized by a beautiful dark color, the nose opens with notes of blackcurrant, undergrowth and red berry jam. The terrified finish is of extraordinary length. The tannins, very present, promise a bright future for this exceptional vintage. To wait.

This wine, very good aging (10 to 20 years) is recommended on game in sauce.
